NextGen InfraCo (NGIC) has released an official statement clarifying the identity of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following confusion caused by reports surrounding the brief disappearance of a senior manager. On October 23, 2024, the Ghana Police Service announced that Mr. Tony Mintah had gone missing, mistakenly identifying him as the CEO of NGIC. Later, the police confirmed that Mr. Mintah had been found.
However, NGIC management clarified today, October 24, 2024, that Mr. Mintah is a senior manager, not the CEO. The company emphasized that since its founding, the CEO position has been held by Mr. Tenu Awoonor. NGIC management urged the media and public to correct the misinformation and ensure accurate reporting in the future.
The company’s statement highlighted the importance of distinguishing the roles of senior staff members and requested that the public recognize Mr. Awoonor as the rightful CEO of NGIC. This clarification comes as part of an effort to avoid further confusion and to maintain transparency regarding the leadership structure within the company.
NextGen InfraCo reiterated its commitment to professionalism and accuracy in all communications, hoping this statement will correct the false reports and preserve the company's reputation. The management also assured the public of its continued focus on delivering high-quality services under the leadership of Mr. Awoonor.
